Hey Guys, I'm a n00bie to the site. I just bought a 99 ram 1500 5.9l ex. last Sat. So I figured I better start reading up on this truck, being a dodge i'm sure i'm going to be doing alot of wrenching.

Looking forward to being a member of this fine forum.

Any advice on what to check out on my truck. Any problems to look for? Recalls?

I know the steering box needs replaced. It's leaking through the bottom seals where the pittman arm connects. I have a new steering box and it's going in tomorrow. Anything else I should look for? Someone told me to check out the track bar and Plentium gasket?? What exactly is a plentium gasket? and where is it located?
