got this put on about 2 weeks ago,right off the cat into a y tip,sounds pretty good to me,what do you think?

what kind of exhaust is that? i was lookin at the gibson exhaust that exits out the side like that. but my truck is the sport and its got that little "body kid" deal. so i dont know if the exhaust would hang low enough to clear the kit or if i would have to cut it out. i dont really wanna cut it out cuz ittl look hacked. any ideas?

 

i had the muffler shop cut off the pipe right about 4 inches from the cat an run an 2 1/2 pipe back an curved out,then they bent the pipe to clear the body then weilded in place,70 bucks for pipe an tip.bout any muffler shop can do it,mine just has a cat no muffler

 

$70? wow that sounds like a steal! how does it sound? and do you think it will pass emissions?

its sounds pretty good, an around here emission is not to big of a factor,an the tips are just right for the way i wanted it to look not 2 big and in the way

 

different size tips actually effect the tone of the exhaust greatly... when i went from regular 2.25 dual pipes with no tips and then put on 4" diameter 8" long tips it was like a complete different exhaust was on...

 

well before i had the pipe an tip put on i cut the muffler an tailpipe off about 4 inches from the rear o2 senser,sounded ok i guess,then i added the curved pipe an the dual outlet tip an the truck sounded a little quite at start up but as soon as i hit the throttle it was a whole differ tone,louder an alot better sound,best 70 bucks ive spent so far,i think it was well worth it dont you

 

Hey Tani, how did you do that with yours...my flowmasters are starting to rust, and i want to do that as well... yours looks incredible and i want the sound and the looks, and the inexpensiveness...you can pm if you want to tell me how
