I'm a new member here at Dodge Forum so I thought I would post a picture of my truck and give you a little info on it.

My truck is a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD, it has a 5.2L engine with an automatic transmission.

Modifications:

- 2inch drop spindles in the front and 4 inch drop shackles and hangers in the rear.
- 40 Series Flow Master custom dual exhaust (Single inlet, dual outlet).
- Fiberglass roll pan bumper
- Street Scene Sport Mirrors
- SS/T 17inch wheels with 275/60-R17 Firehawk Indy's on all four corners
- Billet Grill Insert
- ARE hard tonneau cover with optional low profile wing
- K&N classic round style air filter
- All markings and badges removed
- Factory Infinity sound system (It had an aftermarket system before but it was broken into and stolen and damaged).

That's about all I can remember right now. Tell me what you think. I'm currently looking into replacing my system and was wondering what options I have for subs and head units. Give me some input if you would like to.

infinty speakers are really good... they make some really good subs too. good for any price range.

also kenwood makes a really good sub amp.

truck looks good sitting that low.

gotta go up.. or gotta go down..

stock is just plain ole boring.. yeah i'm still sitting stock... for now.

Truck looks great! We need more pictures!!!!

For interior speakers, Infinity makes great aftermarket stuff.....and you can also go with Alpine or Boston Acoustik.

For subs - Pioneer, JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate.....

For amps - Kenwood or Rockford....they're relatively decently priced....and they wont kill your wallet....

Feel free to create your own photo gallery as well!!!! You can host up to 5mb worth of pictures on DodgeForum....makes for showing your ride off all that much better. You can view anyone's photo gallery by clicking their little camera icon under their name on the left of the screen. Only people with the camera icon have a gallery.

You can now click on my Gallery to see 2 more pictures of the truck. These were taken over a year ago and the truck didn't have dual exhaust yet but it hadn't been broken into yet so it did have a sweet sound system at the time.

I have been thinking about getting this Alpine head unit now: http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/product...model=CDA-9857

I also was looking at getting this infinity amplified sub system: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-jSvsXmA...00&I=108BASSLT

I wouldn't pay that outrageous price though I probably would find them both new on EBay. The head units go for around 270 with shipping and the sub system for 250 to 350. What do you guys think. I want something very clean looking. The only thing I’m concerned with is the head unit may be too bright in the cab at night and be annoying. I'm also a person that hates rattles and would be very disappointed if the sub made a ton of rattling noises. Let me know what you think.

truck is sitting just right, looking great !!!!!

adding my 1.24 (1.22 for inflation) on audio

dont forget kicker, very common and good quality subs and amps, if you really wanna get nuts, Audiobahn, no one makes a better amp/sub combo, mainly for compitition stuff, but quality is uncomparable. pioneer also makes really good highs and mid speakers as well. The BEST of theBEST for highs and mids would be MB Quart, top of the line, impecable quality and worth every penny!!!!!!!

welcome to DF!

If I could go back and do it all over again I’m still not sure if I would get the wing or not. Around here you don't see to many other trucks with the ARE wing but sometimes when I travel they seem to be everywhere which makes me think I should have maybe left it off.

The ARE cap is the way to go though because the cap has body lines in it that match the ones in the hood. This makes it look much better than most of the cheaper models made by other companies.
