Default CAI installed.

its not a K&N, damn f- place couldnt get that system, (Canada sucks for parts ordering)

anyways.. it only took about 45m-1hr to do the whole setup.. but thats because I was goofing off, and having problems with a couple nuts.

tight.. and smooth, i'll take it for a decent run this afternoon and check any HP gain.. my testdrive wasnt long enough, but that was jsut to be sure everything was tight.

*edit, you have to use link and image instead of url and img. wtf.

stock setup is more restrictive, if that air is warmer, its still more air witch is better. alot of guys use them systems just for the hats and fab their own pipes and duct there filter to anywehere they see fit. leaves for some room for modding it... as aposed to the regular K&N cAI, there isnt much you can do with out cutting up a 300 dollar tube!

nice HAI haha, well tell us if you see any gains. if you try, you might be able to move the rubber stuff out from beside the tail light and make a heat sheild to run all the way back and behind it.

i've noticed quite a difference mainly at acceleration, overall its running nice, and my rpms are a touch lower at the same speed as what it was originally stock.. ..

up to 140 and no loss of power..

as for heat shield, im not much of a fabricator... but it doesnt seem to be affecting too much.

until my edmonton trip i wont notice overall..

i was wondering how the airraid one looked under the hood. yeah let us know how it turns out. oh and you might want to watch for rust/oxidization on that tube.

I had that exact kit before I installed my K&N FIPK. After 5 months, there was rust on the inside of the tube from condensation. That is past the filter too. Hopefully this doesn't happen to you , but you might want to keep an eye on it.

i appreciate the heads up on that Silver- I'll be watching that very closely now.

RJ, - there's a header bolt its mounted to.. i had it upside down at first and wtf.. lol.. i'll grab another from that angle and show you.

the tube is powdercoated, so yeah, I appreciate knowing there's possiblilty of rust, i can protect it then.

btw- at what temperature is best for swapping back from the CAI to stock for winter? at what temp is the CAI bad for the truck
