Default HELP !! Intake Gasket

After a 400 mile trip pulling a 5000 LB boat with my '99 1500, 120 K mi, 4x4, 5.9, Auto (out of OD) resulted in 2.5 QT of oil used I do believe I have this intake issue. Also averaged 10 MPG Yipes !!
Anyway I called the stealer....500.00 to replace. Does this sound right ?....they also quoted me 5 hours of labor.....the TSB says 3.5 with A/C. Has anyone managed to get Chrysler to help with the cost ???
Making an appointment today for next Friday....please help.

Do it yourself and save money. It's not that difficult. Read the FAQ here https://dodgeforum.com/m_334375/tm.htm It's under "Blown Plenum".

Yeah, it's not too bad to do...and the 3.5 hrs. may be labor time if it's under warranty...techs are paid less for warranty work, esp. tsb's, since it's a common problem... 5 hrs. is probably straight Mitchell/AllData labor.
