Default sway bars

i've got a 01 sport and i was wondering if the front sway bar is bigger than the normal rams. also would a rear sway bar fit off of a 3/4 ton?

The sport is mostly cosmetic so the chassis parts will be the same.

But to go from a 1/2 to 3/4 ton... that will be different.

I don't have sway bars on my truck. I think Shott is correct they only came on 1 tons.

The rear sway bar came with the camper package. On 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton trucks.

I'm not sure a 3/4 ton bar would fit a 1/2 ton truck. The axle shape and dimensions are different.

And as dodgedlr said, the sport package is just an appearance package.

then what's diff? i've rode in other plain rams and they ride smoother than my sport does. my sports real stiff, i just need something in the rear to keep the body role down. i always see 4x4 cummins with the sway bar in the rear and just figured if i got the parts i needed i could do it. so i guess i can't do it with those since my rearend's diff.

Here is one I am currently looking at. It's a rear sway bar:

What's different? Maybe your suspension package is different? Maybe your shocks are worn out?

Not all cummins trucks have sway bars. Like I said, it was mostly camper package trucks that had them. And those trucks had a VERY stiff suspension package. Like I mentioned above, the 1/2 ton Rams with the camper package came with rear sway bars as well. It was mainly there to keep the truck from tipping with the camper mounted in the bed though.

There is a company that sells decent aftermarket kits here: http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294907804

As for a larger sway bar, I'm not aware of one. I don't know the stock size for a 1/2 ton off hand, but the Hellwig bar might be larger. Or a company that makes lifts (like skyjacker or fabtech) might know of one. Other than that, I wouldn't expect to see too many out there. It's a truck afterall...not a sports car
