TB spacer
That has been my understanding as well, The design of any tb spacer is advertised to be that it would create a whirl wind affect that would help air flow through the channels, but this doesn't make any difference in today's hi-tech engines. All that matters is smooth unrestricted flow with minimal opposing forces. The only positive affect I can think of for these hi-tech motors to gain from a tb spacer would be a more thorough mixture of EG coming from the EGR. However in my case, there were no gains in torque, HP, and gas mileage with the spacer. The air to fuel remained the same, and the manufacturers still can’t explain how the spacer keeps whirl wind affect through the maze from the intake to the heads. That trick they show on tv with the two bottles with water in them, where the create a swirl effect to transfer the water between bottles is flawed due to the fact that it is a closed, almost vacuumed sealed container, where as a motor has an open end where the motor will such the air without restriction, swirl or no swirl. In my opinion, unless the manufacturer can explain there product and results better, they’re decoration.
i have a carb spacer on my 340, and it does help, but ive never heard anything good about TB spacers...especially for Rams...
also, i couldnt fit one on amandas...the TB hat almost touches the cowl as it is...
