Default Ram Questions

Hello everyone I am new here to the forums, I am looking to buying the Ram in the picture below, but I have a question it says that the tires are 37", does this appear to be true I thought you would have to have a lot of lift to pull that off or does it look like its lifted right?

IF there any info that you could give me on this truck as well, is it a sport??? it doesnt say it is but it does say offroad package. here is the description

I can tell you it's not a sport, the front end would look different.

What year is that truck supposed to be? Reason I ask is that it states "last year for solid front axle". Last year of solid front axle on the 1500's was 2001. As far as it being a sport or off-road edition, there is no definitive way to tell from these photos since all the decals/badges have been removed (or it was repainted and badges not put back on). It does have the 17" alum off-road wheels, but those can be gotten anywhere. Same for the tow hooks.

I think it takes at least 5" to 6" of lift to run 37's on the street, more if you want to off-road it without rubbing. Hard to tell if those are 37's or not. Doesn't look like it to me, but photos can be misleading.

i think its stock height with 35's.. 37's would be huge.. the offroad package gives the truck a 2 inch lift over regular dodge 4x4's.. might of been enough to clear 35's.. do all 2001 offroad editions have that style mirror??? i have a 01 ram 4x4 and mine dont look like that.. they must be aftermarket... looks like it has a roll pan too.. pretty nice truck.. also sports have the painted bumpers to match the truck

Those look like the flip out tow mirrors. I think you could get those with the tow package.
I don't think that is stock height, but it is difficlut to tell how much lift that is. Here is a pic of another similar truck that has 6" of lift and 37's.

I'm not sure about the mirrors, maybe someone else can chime in, another question I want to but some black steele wheels on this does anyone know where I can order them online I like the cragers but am having a problem finding a place that sells them online, if anyone has a link that would be great, what size rim/tire would you suggest for this truck I will probaby go with a mud terrains, I want it to have a pretty aggresive look with the tires.

Depends on what gears it has. If it is not a true off-road and still has the most common stock gear of 3:55, it is going to be a serious dog with 37's and a 5.2. If it is really an off-road, it should have 4.10's, which is still not enough gear for 37's. With 4.10's I would run a 33" to 35" tire.
