hey, I just joined this forum to find out for my buddy where to find some info on swapping his automatic trans to manual. I have done it on a jeep, so I know basically what needs to be done, what I dont know are the specifics on his truck, as in will the transfer case bolt to the manual trans, do they have the same spline count? I believe the NV 3500 is the trans they use behind the 5.2l 318 engine. Will we need a new driveshaft? What type of Hydraulic clutch is used on these trucks? do they use hydraulic throw out bearings? or linkage. any other useful info will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

What truck are you looking to do a swap on? Year? Motor?

 

i believe it is a 97 Ram 1500 4x4, with the 5.2l 318 like I said.
