I've tried the Mother's back to black with no success. But, after reading this morning, I got out the carb cleaner to give it a try (carefully). It left the same gray color as before. Since I had the stuff out anyway, I went ahead and put on some Mother's. Man, the carb cleaner must do some serious cleaning. I think it got all the build up out of the way for the Mother's to actually work. My bumber looks great, shiny, black and not streaked. I'll be adding a couple of more Mother's treatments followed by some Armor all or something. The combination works wonders.
