Default Dual exaust

Has anyone run a set of heafers and then true duels from that point out. Don't want to run them together and then y them back out. Was wondering if anyone has dome this and what kind of benifit it created. I have a 99 ram 5.2. Is the benifit great enough to justify the cost. thanks.

mine run down side by side, has an X-pipe in it, then splits off before the spare tire to each side right behind the rear tires.

That sounds like what i want to do. Don't want them coming straight out so that when hooking a trailer i don't get all the fumes. Does your set-up work well? Also what kind of cats and mufflers did you use?

yeah the setup works great and it is loud but not overly.. its distinct.

the mufflers are magnaflows. an x-pipe. i have no CATS, im not in an area where the clean air policy is in effect.

however the OLD CAT was rotten from the inside out completely.

There is an old topic labled "How to reprogram the ECU for true dual exhaust". Its a couple weeks old but on it I posted pictures of my dual setup on it. I am running gibson headers, a crossover pipe, and flowmaster 40 series. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions.
