So ive got a 96 2wd v6. the front end had been getting pretty loose so i decided to take it to the mechanic. backing out of the driveway to head there i heard a huge snap. turns out a broke a spring. so i need 2 new springs, ball joints and an upper control arm on the passenger side.

so im thinking about Air ride. would going to air shocks and springs be worth it or would i only get the great handling from the more expensive kits? for this truck the shock and spring kit it about $600. where if i went all out i could spend thousands.

im not looking to set it on its frame when i park it, or ride with it jacked 12 inches, im just looking for the best ride i can get for the money with the possibility of manual adjustments to alter the driving.


any comments are greatly appreciated as its getting done monday or tuesday and i need to decide what im gonna do real quick.

you can probally get air bags for the front for pretty cheap.. my friend got 2 air bags, tank, and compressure + lines for 350 bucks for a s-10

 

i was looking at the air ride technologies spring and shock setup.

theres not too muchout there for a 2nd gen ram it seems.

 

I want to put a 5" lift on my 97 ram?
