Default Leak from front axel?

I have a 2001 ram sport and I also have a puddle of oil inder the front axel. not from the differential but on the passenger side. there is a box like section with a wire connected to it. and I noticed that it is leaking from there. I dont really drive it as it only has 3200 miles and its an 01. what is that section of the axel called and how can I fix the leak?

Could be the axle vacuum motor. Not for sure though

It's leaking from your CAD housing. There's just a cork gasket under there. You can unbolt the CAD unit and clean the cork gasket off. Then RTV where the gasket was and bolt the CAD unit back on.

You have to make sure you line the fork on the CAD unit up with the collar inside the axle before you put it back on though. I attached a pic that kind of shows you it. You'll see it more clearly when you remove the CAD unit from the axle.

I should really pull a diagram out of the FSM one of these days that matches better. [&o]
