biggest tires?

Default biggest tires?

Hey, im a newbie to aftermarket stuff for my 95 ram 1500.

W/o an aftermarket lift, wats the biggest tires i can run w/o scraping or triming?

Well, that all depends on your particular truck. Its it 2wd or 4x4? There are also other packages that make certain 4x4's sit higher than others. But assuming that your 95 is a standard 4x4, I'd say 285/75 R16's (33x11.50) on the stock rim.

What is your gear ratio? That is just as important as how much room you have to fill in your fenderwells when determining what tires you CAN run

I had BFG ATs 33x12.50R15 on my truck. there was never any rubbing. one thing to keep in mind is that metric tires, 285/75R16 for example, are actual sizes, the 33x12.50R15 is not really 33 inches tall. its really only 32.4 or so depending on the manufacture. so keep that in mind that metircs are almost exact, where US measurements are always rounded up quite a bit. I know, its dumb, but thats just way it is. a 35 inch tire isnt really 35 inches.
