Fuel Filter Replacement?

Default Fuel Filter Replacement?

I have never done this since i bought the truck and that was 20k miles ago.How do i go about doing it? Hard? How often should it be done? Thanks Again,

The fuel filter is located inside the gas tank and is NOT serviceable.

but isnt it possible to replace the whole unit like the pump,filter and all? im just tryin to get better mpg.

It's possible to replace the whole unit, it's around $190 from most parts stores and the labor is quite high if you don't do it yourself. I don't see a point in replacing it though unless you're having a problem with your pump. The filter hasn't really been known to clog. The pumps seem to die out before that happens.
