Default Will 315/75/16's fit a 2500 4x4 with leveling kit?

I'm looking at purchasing a 2000 Ram 2500 club cab 4x4 diesel and it will need tires soon. If I install a 2" leveling kit up from will I be able to clear 315/75/16 tires on stock rims?

Yes, and no. It will clear them, but they will rub A LOT on your control arms when you turn on stock rims.

Also, unless you're running at least 4:10 ratio gears, you are not going to want to put that large of a tire on your truck.

True, the Cummins has the power to turn them, but it will still mathematically effect your final drive ratio which can have some negative effects on mileage/performance. You wouldn't notice the huge power loss that the V8 gassers notice, but there sill still be some loss there.

just get a programmer or banks exhaust.. then those 315's would feel like 245 stockers

Personally, 315 will work with wheel spacers BUT will affect your final drive as previously mentioned. I put 285 on my 1500 in place of the OEM 265 and 1 inch wheel spacer and no complaints! Only reason I put the wheel spacers was for the passenger's tire not to rub on the upper right control arm when fully turning to the right on uneven roads....Just my 2 cents!

I would NEVER put wheel spacers on a truck...especially a CTD with a 1000lb motor over the front axle/wheels. You're just asking for touble if one cracks/breaks. [&:][:'(]

I have a 1998 1500 shortbed reg cab with leveling kit and I have the 315/75 on the stock rims with no wheel spacers. My tires are the Procomp A/T. They just barely rub on I believe the right side at max turn but thats it. I don't regret it at all. What kind of probs has shott8283 had that makes him not like them.

well for starters.. i went with 4 inches of backspacing.. the stock rims have 4.5 so now the tires stick out almost a whole inch all round.. thast cool ... i love the look.. but with A/T's and smaller tread gaps.. they tend to grab stones and rocks and hurl them at my pretty paint and mach11 .. also.i really hate rubbin.. just something that bugs me.. and now i either gota go higher (didnt really want to but im gonna anywaY) or get smaller tires..and them nittos.. good tires..but expensive to be swapping around left and right.. also my truck isnt high enough to be having 315's and still look right.. 305's/295's would have looked better.. but a 3" body lift and flares are gonna fix my problem
