Default Will CE Codes Reset?

Sorry if you've seen this already -- I posted in wrong place at first.

I'm working on a Cylinder 3 misfire P0303 --- After the prob is corrected, will the code be reset on its own after several miles of driving, or do I need to disconnect the battery to reset?

BTW -- I see alot of past posts talking about Cylinder Misfire codes after a plenum gasket replace, and that's what I just finished, too. Any connection?

I have taken out plug 3 and it was dry and white. Will try a new set of plugs all around, reroute the wires according to the TSB and lastly pull the injector(s) and clean. After that, the only thing I know to check is compression test.

Thank you,
Lee

well it will reset if the problem is fixed and you disconnect the battery for awhile. it will come back if the problem is still there.
