Default Has anyone tried these headlights?

The headlights on my 97 are fading so I am looking for a good alternative to the stockers.

I found these two styles on ebay and was wondering if anyone has every tried either of them.

My initial thoughts on the projector lights is wont I need to upgrade my wiring to run these? They must pull more current than the stockers that could ultimately melt the wiring or switch.

Let me know what you all think. The projectors would definately light up the road ahead! The others look stock for the most part, but at least the lens is clear so it will allow more light to shine on the road vs. the stockers.

I havent tried either of those, but what i did was go with the SYLVANIA SilverStar bulbs. they are like $15 each, easy to change, and make a huge difference in how well i can see the trail and road. This is simply an inexpensive alternative to those. Plus, they look really cool when they are that bright. I got mine at autozone...

I had a set of those a while back. Whats inhibiting me now is how discolored my headlamps are. I might just go with a stock replacement set which is around $50 or so.

i did the sport headlight conversion which i think was the best 200 bucks i ever spent for lights came with clear headlights and corners they look the same other than the plastic is clear and it converted for a single bulb set up to a quad bulb set up they are super bright and i also bought clear fog lights to match it it looks good and very bright it also came with a plug and play harness all you had to do was plug it in to the stock headlight conector and then run a power from the batt and put a ground in and that was it i didn t have to trim behind the headlight because the fender hole was only mad for one bulb not two plus i put silver stars in all of them

Essentially all you had to do was run a power and a ground wire and you were done? Or did you have to trim behind the headlight to make way for the two headlight setup?

Where did you get your lights from?

yea i unbolted the old headlights and corners then it came with a harness with relays and that which just pluged into the factory harness there one harness for each side i just ran the two power wires to the fuse box and then put the grounds on a bolt that was all the wiring and then i wire loomed it and all that as for the fender when i went to install it the hole that is behind it for taking the bulb out was not big enough because ours have a two bulb set up so i had to make the hole bigger so that the bulb wouldnt hit the fender yours might have a diffrent hole i dont know when they changed the fenders around probally in 1999 for the sports but thats all i had to do and then just bolt them up in the factory spots looks awsome and i got them on ebay for like 200 bucks havent really seen it on there in awhile they were brand new to i dont know where you can find them other than ebay somebody on here should know they are very bright though because your low beams will be 2 9006 bulbs and 2 9007 bulbs all at the same time and highs are the same and it dosnt burn out the headlight switch i have had that happen 3 times with my old bulbs

Silverstars are awesome. I just installed some on my Ram, and I absolutely love them. They make a nice difference on low beam, and on high beam they're REALLY bright.

Went with those crystal ebay lights about 2 years ago because the stocks on a 98 looked like ****.. they are great, besides looks they still look brand new, not cracked, faded or anything like that... The install wasn't too bad either..

(Thats super white plasma headlight bulbs, super white LED lighttower bulbs in the corners.)
