my truck is a
2000 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L 4x4

my tranny is making a whining noise at high rpms
in gear and in neutral

i am guessing the torque converter is going out or locking up

the other thing is that the tranny is slipping in 2nd gear
2 or 3 times before it shifts into 3rd

on of the techs that i work with said that it would be cheaper to
buy a rebuilt tranny than fix the tranny thats in it now.

where would be a good place to buy a rebuilt tranny around the midwest???
