I bought a 40 series delta flow, pipes, and tips for my dual exit and had everything installed for a total around $300. Bought the parts off of ebay (new) and took to meineke for installation w/ coupon. Not a bad deal. Although now I am thinking about getting a new muffler, this 40 delta flow isnt loud enough for me, I want something with more roar inside and out, probably gunna switch it with a regular 40 series, any thoughts about the switch?

I have a MagnaFlow and love the sound of it. Its only a cat back though. If you have 300-350 I'd get a highflow cat and then the muffler you want. Heres a video of what my MagnaFlow sounds like.

I had a dual out flowmaster kit, a 50 series I think it was...reduced the 2.5 outputs down to 2.25 and had great flow and overall performance.

with the outs at 2.5" mpg was in the 11's upper end power was improved and low end dropped. when I dropped the outs down to 2.25" low end came back, mpg went up into the high 12's and the upper end dropped some.

Steve, what would you recommend for a balanced system then, keeping or improving the mileage but keeping the top end power as well. I pull my cmaper out to the woods regularly, njot heavy, but heavy enough for a half ton. but i bit more mid range power would be nice.

What exactly is a cat back system, someone explained it to me but it didn't click.
