kick ***!! congrats!! well how she run? can you feel the difference? did you end up useing your 5.2 pcm or the 5.9 thats sweet it worked out so good!!

oh.. p.s. im jelous you live that close to hughes.. kick *** shop they have

Got to drive it to work this morning, I can definately feel the extra torque. Probably get a chance to do some pulling with it this weekend, that will be the real test.

Right now I'm running on the 5.2 PCM. I'm guessing it would run better on the 5.9, but I have no idea if it's set up for an auto tranny or not... haven't even tried it yet. I also noticed a program "update" sticker on the 5.9 PCM... isn't that what they reffer to as the "death flash"?

Finally got the build sheet for the Motor that I put in my truck. As long as the PCM doesn't control anything with the 4x4 system, I think I'm ok swapping in the 5.9 PCM that I got with the motor.... anyone know if the PCM controls any 4x4 functions?

Can only say with 99% certainty that it does not. I swapped a PCM from a 2WD into my 4x4 and noticed no degredation of the 4wd system. Everything continues to work as it should.

Well, tried swapping the PCM's around, lost overdrive and the seatbelt light stayed on.... plus no noticable gains in power. Guess I'll stick with the 5.2 for now.

The seatbelt light is from not having the VIN and mileage burned into the PCM. I have the same "problem". It's supposed to be common. OD? No idea.
