differential leak
hello everyone,
i think my differentials are lekaing a little bit. They both have fluid cover ing the plates on them. is changing the fluid and gasket going to fix that problem or could there be more serious problems i need to address?

You don't have gaskets on the differentials. If they are leaking, you need to pull the covers off, clean everything up, and put new gasket sealer on the pan when you re-install. I believe the orange colored gasket sealant is what is recommended for the differential. Let the truck sit for a few hours for the sealant to cure before putting in the new differential fluid.
There's a company called LubeLocker.com. They make all sorts of gaskets. I use differential gaskets on my 60/80 Danas. I think they work like the cats a$$. There are other companies as well. Just search for custom/chrome diff covers.
