Evaporator Drain hose?
I've seen several posts on plugged evaporator drains or leaking 3rd brake lamps causing lots of water on the passenger side floor.
Can someone tell me if there is supposed to be a hose or elbow on the drain that comes through the firewall?
There is drainage coming out when the A/C is on and it seems to get wet whether I use the AC or not, but it's hard to tell between the heat and rain we've had lately if it the drain is causing my wet floormats or a leak somewhere else.
I've put some silicone around the brake lamp, and I'll post if it worked or not.
Thanks for the help.

I added a 2 foot piece of hose to my evaporator drain. The drain sticks out of the firewall about 2 inches. I put a length of vacuum hose on it with a clamp, and ran it down to the outside of the frame next to the brake flex line. You can gently stick some pipe cleaners in the drain hole to make sure it is clear of any obstructions.
Good luck.
Good luck.
I know it sounds very strange
but water leaking into the 3rd brake light mounted above the rear window
can also cause the passenger side carpet to get wet!
There is a channel in the sheet metal of the truck's cab that allows the
water to drain down this long route.
It might also pay to re-seal or buy a new gasket for that brake light above the rear window.

All right,
I haven't used AC for a week and water is still coming in. Soooo, unless it's my sweat pooling on the passenger side (as hot as it's been - it may be) then I think it is the brake lamp leaking or more likely something under the cowl beneath the windshield wipers is leaking as it seams that is where water is coming from.
I'll post more as I figure it out...
