Leveling Kit vs. Coil Spacers
Yes and no. the more common, less expensive leveling kits are made from coil spacers. THe more expensive ones, you can get as a taller spring. hope this clarifies things for you.

i have coil spacers that gave me 2" of lift in the front AKA leveling KIT
i could have purchased 2" lift COILS for the front and that could be AKA leveling KIT
2 ways to do it.. 2 ways to call it.. totally different but same effect..

if your lift is all spring in the front, then i believe you could use a 1 or 2" spacer to level the truck out. if you already have a 3" spacer with stock springs, i dont think the leveling kit will work.
quick question, i was wonderin did you need any type of steering spacer when you put on the coil spacer. ive already got a 3" body lift, and it came with a steering spacer and im not sure ive got another 2 inches of play in my steering rod.
no spacer with the steering. Because you are lifting the whole truck with the spacer. With the body lift you just lifted the body which makes the steering shaft shorter.

If he had the 3" spacer on the springs already then he wouldnt be looking into a leveling kit.
