Default Tranny question

Hello all, I posted a couple of weeks ago a question about changing my tranny fluid. (auto) Well, I did so, but I didnt adjust the bands, because I wasnt able to come up witha torque wrench that went down as low as I needed it to, 72 in lbs i think. The question I have is, I noticed this weekend when I am backing out of the driveway, and I hit the paved part of the road that goes up a little, my tranny will act like it completely came out of gear, and I have to rev it a lil, and it will start pulling again to get me out in the road. But after i put it in D, I notice no problems. Could this be from not adjusting the bands, or did I not get enough fluid back in it? It acts to me like that latter, and I need to add more fluid, but I have not checked it yet. Any help will be apreciated, thanks guys.(and gals)
