Default Problems installing K&N FIPK Gen2

I tried installing this today and I got stuck on step #6 where it says to remove the EVAP canister from the stock bracket. I looked later on in the instructions and it says you need to take pieces off of the stock bracket to put on the new one but, I don't have a stock bracket. My truck only has one little thing on the inner fender, nothing near to what the pictures/instructions say. Heres two pics of my inner fender, maybe someone this has happened to someone else. This kit is designed for my truck so thats not the problem.

Yea, mine was the same way. I dont really know why its like that, but you dont have to do anything to the EVAP. Just move on and skip any and all steps referring to it. Its not a problem, its not in the way, and nothing attaches to it. Heres mine i just decided to skip it and see what happens. everything worked out fine. thier directions suck, so if you need any more help, just let me know!

so which steps would you say I should skip according to their directions, heres link incase you don't have yours handy: instructions

For step 6, you used the allen bolt with two washers correct for the Z bracket? I was having a VERY hard time getting it in but it did go in.

I have all the stuff listed in the directions. I am not 100% sure but all the EVAP cr*p is all California emissions stuff.

just skip numbers 7-18 completely, i know it seems like a lot, but dont worry, it will be fine.

also, step 19 says only do that for 94-97 models, thats not true, they all need the L bracket

ok cool I'm going to attempt it again tomorrow.

In your post up a little in the one picture, did you put a rubber washer behind the fender washer behind the spacer or no rubber washer?
