Default Remote starter

I am looking to get a Remote Starter for my truck. Anyone know of any good ones and how difficult they are to install?

easy if you have alot of experience with wiring, circuits, and shooting wires,,, pretty difficult if you dont know what a wire is..

i have installed a lot of the ultrastart models off ebay,,, pretty cheap and some of the most basic systems youll need, non of that fancy 12 aux channel stuff.

Very true shott, I installed a bulldog from Wal-AMrt (it was 50 bucks) not too daunting, especially if you don't have a factory alarm or anything or power locks. all the wires basically are coming off of the column, but again if you can't really trace or identify wires, I wouldn't recommend. also the Wal mart one I have only works from abotu 50 feet, even after extending the antenna profusely

did you install this yourself? audiovox pro series are very complex systems, takes even some of the best installers bettter part of a day to put on in. i had an audiovox model woop my *** once, but thats what i was young in the game and still learning alot

thats true aswell... the cheaper it is the less "power" its gona have.. the ultrastarts i normally install range from 100ft to 300 yds,, depends on how long it sat in the warehouse and what model it is.

i would like to differ on that statement that viper is the best... i personnally like clarions 2way systems myself, very very intricate and many options to play with... they also have new systems out that have vioce rec, and cellfone interfaces. some crazy shiat right there..

besides the point,, if you choose to tackle a RS ,, dont be affriad to ask questions,, and when i install on a vehicle that i havnt worked on before i tend to get a few wireing diragrams from many different sources. if you need a few i can help you out.. i have a few websites i trust and a good database on my computer i can get info from for ya!!!!
