I've read that it can make a slight differance. I haven't made the switch myself.

theres many listings articles and posts about switching to syn.. myself im a die hard syn guy.. i gained almost 2mpg when i switch the motor oil tranny fluid and rear diff fluid to syn... still have to do the tcase .. and front diff.. but syn is a far more superior lubericant then dino oil is... its just more expensive.. but it lasts longer..

i give syn a A+++ (especially vavoline products.. them are my fav!)

I know that, so far, the only ATF+4 (which is fully synthetic) I've been able to find is Valvoline. It's also priced well. (Around $3.70 at my local Autozone, and $4.70 at the local Advance Auto Parts, compared to $6.20 for Mobil 1, which, FYI, is not labeled as ATF+[anything] but recommended by Exxon-Mobil for Chrysler trannys). Whenever I get around to doing a tranny flush, thats what I'll be using!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I Run AMSOIL in every fluid area (except fuel) and it just can't be beat. Going to syn will reduce parasitic drag and keeps things protected longer. AMSOIL makes a Chrysler compatable ATF.
