I'm rebuilding my 9.25 rear-end in my dodge and I was wondering if you do-it yourselfers had any hints or maybe any tricks or things I should watch out for anything will help....[&:]
umm.. make sure everything is set perfect.. or bad things will happen.. and check your tooth mating really well.. oh.. and make sure the bearing caps go back onto the same side and the same way as they came off... umm.. watch your C clips of you have a LSD.. use a cheep hotplate from walmart to heat up and reinstall tight fitting parts like the bearings onto the carrier and the ring aswell... a housing streatcher is the best to use but ive heard some time spent wiht a torch will work the same.. make sure you have your lash set perfect. depth dial is a good tool to have.. not sure if their will be any depth setting written on the pinnion gear like aftermarkets do...
and this is all coming from a tv show i watched a few days ago... lol
