maybe your cat is comeing apart...
do you have clamps holding the pipes together or is it all welded? if oyu have clamps.. make sure the nuts havnt come loose or anything... and also check the hangers... if its dumped obviously you have some other type of hanging system other than factory.. make sure they havnt broke and dropped the exhaust and it being banged around on anything.. just give it one hell of a good look over..

no its all welded together the cat has been gutted did it before it got gutted to so i dont know they didnt drop the muffler becase thats what i thought in the first place so i had the put another one on and it did the same thing??
I guess I would start by asking, does the exhaust note sound metallic or tinny, or does it sound like something is actually rattling around in the system. If its the note, it could just be the way everything is configured, you said you have a gutted cat as well, you could be picking up reverberations from the shell. Where if it was sounding as if something were loose I would go through all the exhaust hangers and associated hardware and check for loose connections or somethign near the exhaust that may be loose as well. without being able to actually hear what you are describing it makes it somewhat difficult to dignose. Also with a free flowing muffler and gutted cat, you might actually hear valve noise, not probable, but possible. Again difficult to diagnose without hearing it in person.
omg sounds like the muffler bearings are going out a ya. i would get them replaced asap
no i would say maybe try a high flow cat and some headers. idk sometimes i think its just how it is. my friends truck sounds just as loud as mine and he has a big magnaflow muffler and i have a super 40.

thats wierd u say that cause me and some of my friends have been messing with people at work this past week with the muffler bearing and blinker fluid stuff. i have never heard the headlight belt one though. anyone know anymore
What size is your inlet pipe? I had an old AMC Javelin and went through 5 exhaust systems. I found that if I used smaller diameter pipes, flowmasters sounded more tinny. If I went with bigger diameter pipes, there was a deeper more rumbly sound. Since your exhaust dumps off just after the muffler, you can expect something like this. If you were to put on a couple of 90 degree elbows and 2ft of pipe that dump out the side, you will change the tone and tuning of the pipes. There might still be some tinny noise to it, but that's flowmaster. It's kind of like tuning an organ, different combinations of pipe diameter and length wil change how your exhaust sounds.
