My whole intent was to show that even from a strictly financial standpoint it still made sound sense. It is a mod that was proven to actually save fuel on at least one vehicle and thanks to very good record keeping a sound formula could be written to show the savings and in this case, pretty substantial savings. I totally agree a cost/benefit analysis does not make sense for every mod, i.e. my tires. But for a mod that someone says will help, sometimes it helps some of us to see how much it really helps. I have gotten into that mode because the wife is hesitant to let me spend money on the truck these days with the fuel prices unless I can prove it will be beneficial. Yet the money she spends on clothes she doesn't wear weighs not. But I digress. I meant no disrespect and as you said forums are made for sharing ideas, and I was simply sharing my viewpoint. My viewpoint is yes this is a sound product and based on your measurements it can save moeny and fuel. From your data Purel;y for my own pleasure I wanted to know how long it would take for the part to pay for itself. Yes not every part will, again, my tires, but some will. I thought other people might want to know. I hope that I am simply misunderstanding the tone of your posts and taking them the wrong way. If I am I apologize for over excusing myself. My manipulation of your data was simply for gee wiz info and not to de-value your mod. I know as well as many of you that sometimes we modify things just for the pure pleasure of modifying them!!!

So very true, I have not been able to do much, but I have done something different from the average joe. when some mods are so beneficial and inexpensive, why wouldn't you?

I am planning it. I have to find the time between teaching Nuclear missile maintenance and being tender with the wife, time gets kinda short. Especially when we spent this weekend camping and geocaching, and the weekend before buying her Stratus. Hopefully this weekend!

I already beat you to the question though. Check out the first page of this thread and you'll see where I also asked and was answered below it.

I gotta be honest Mayfair........I didn't see any answer. Or at least nothing that seemed to explain how the gas is being "heated" to begin with. I'm sure it's these eyes. Maybe I need a more detailed explanation. What section would that be, any ideas?

Adios!
