Did Dodge make a non-magnum 360's in the second gen series? All I seem to see are Magnum badges. If so what are the differences between magnum motors and non. I have a Magnum, but if there really is no dicernable difference or they didn't make anything but that, I guess it's not as special as I thought.

Just the sytle of engine. All 2ng Gen rams are Magnum (excluding CTD because I know somebody will want to correct me[:'(]) The Gen 1 rams and V8's in those are the "LA" style engine. The Magnum has a vew slight changes but they're similar

Alot of stuff is the same. Pretty much the biggest differences are the heads and intakes without getting too technical. However it is possible to interchange alot of parts. I.E make a L.A. engine fuel injected by putting Magnum parts on it. If you have any other questions on them let me know. I have done alot of research on this subject.

heads and intake are different between the magnums and the older LA's the magnum intake bolts go in straight down and the LA go in at an angle.. and the heads flow more in the magnums aswell.. other then some ballencing differences (i think)...they are very similar

Don't the Magnums also have slightly higher compression then the LA 318's and 360's due to different piston design?
