I would like to know if there are any sensors in the tranning that i could change before i submit to a rebuild. The tranning is not shifting from OD back to 1st when stopping. All other shifting is fine...........did the band adj...change filter and fluid.......ady the tv cable.......still no change!!!!
Thanks in advance to your reply.

The 46RH is mostly a hydraulic transmission. There aren't a lot of sensors that would cause problems with it.

The OD solenoid could be screwed up, but then it wouldn't go into OD in the first place.

If you turn OD off, run it till it shifts into 3rd, and then stop...does it shift back into 1st?

you know thats funny you say that because when i first get going in the morning at the first stop sign or two the trans only makes it to second and i dont have to shift to get going again. I did drive w/o OD and it does the same (slips). Another thing is when first does shift at a stop , it is always late comming. It feels like someone is bumping me in the back after i stop, sometimes two,or three seconds later.when the trans is cold sometimes it will downshift but only like the first five mininutes or so.I pulled the valvebody off some time ago(first time i did that) and dissassembled it,but didn't notice anything. Thanks
