that's still pretty thick stuff... 1/4 would've been fine for all of it.. but keeping with the theme of the truck.. over build it. it won't break unless you're welds fail.

actually if you figure the weight difference, building it all out of 1/4 would be heavier then then the 1/2 inch supports and a 3/16 plate.

I would have done it all in 1/4" and the rest in 3/16". My bumper weighed 180#s



Now get that damn thing done already. Im sick of waiting

well i finally got this thing almost done. just need to cut two holes in it for two hella 550 lights, mount the shackle tabs and the winch fairlead... what you think?

can't seemuch with those pics. but looks good so far. where you located? do you have plans for different lights? does the airflow have any problems yet. is there a noticeable weight difference up front.
