Default exaust on 8L V10

Anyone know how to toughin up the sound of a V10 exaust? I had flowmasters put on and sounds like a 6 cylinder. I hate it, the exaust shop told me it was the 10 cylinder engine causing the sound, because the cylinders are smaller in a V10 much like those in a 6 cyl. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

They're not smaller ... the exhaust pulses are tighter because there are ten explosions per rev instead of only eight (well ... technically 5 instead of 4). This has been talked about here before. It's hard to get the note right.

I believe the 6 banger is a 318 with 2 cylinders chopped off.
