Default Questions about 4wheel drive?

Went wheeling this weekend and caused all kinds of damage. Couple of questions;

1st - what's involded in changing front axle seals?

2nd - four wheel is cashed, makes all kinds of clunking, ticking and just about every sound that doesn't sound good. Drive side tire won't spin. Most of the sound is coming from driver side. Was going to start with replacing u-joints and wheel bearings, what else should I be looking for?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

wow you must have had some bad luck. the axle seal is a pita to change. you have to pull the carrier out of the axle. look in the tech section in pavementsucks, you find everything you need to fix your problems. hopefull your front u joint just busted and did do any damage to the shafts. if thats the chase your lucky. the wheel hub also takes some time.

Dang that does sound bad. Like said could just be a u-joint, but if you cracked it you should be able to tell with out even taking the wheel off. I'd pop the front cover off to and see what the diff looks like.

Does the t case make any niose?
