im running the msd blaster 2 coil.. i like it... a little wiring modification needed to hook up to the oem signal wires but nothing too hard... i left the stocker coil in place incase my msd box goes south on me...
if you want to run a bigger/better coil id suggest running larger diameter wires... to help keep resistance to a minumum... i have the msd 8.5MM's and they work well with the coil and my 6a box

one word of advice.. stay away from the blaster ss coil... some ram owners ran this coil and experience pcm problem b/c the resistance for the input on the coil is alot lower and the pcm doesnt know what it sees as far as a coil load... some ram owners have cooked a pcm for this reason
also you may pop a code .. but no cel .. for the coil ... no worries .. but if it bothers you theres a tach adabpter that can be wired in to correct this.. not required tho...

I have a stock radio in my truck and I don't have any static problems. I ran 7.5mm wires for a while on my truck after I had the MSD box. I got the Accels and I think it runs smoother but that may just be me trying to convice myself that they were worth the 80 bucks they cost.
