Default 12" Subwoofer enclosure-need help! :(

Hello everyone, I own a 1999 Dodge Ram, (Regular Cab) and I recently purchased quite a bit of audio equipment for this truck, however, I'm in need of a subwoofer box/enclosure for the Infinity 12" woofer. I've talked to a few installation inclined folks and checked a few websites, and have been unable to locate any helpufl information.

Alot of the sub boxes Dodge enclosure sites are selling are for two subs, or extra cab etc... Nothing for a single 12" sub (to fit behind a regular cab bench), not to mention I have about a foot of depth to work with. I found one box, however, I'm hearing from different people that I MUST have a custom box built for this situation in order to produce the best sound for the sub. I'm getting paranoid that Im not gonna find anything without paying up to $175.00 for Best Buy to build a custom box. Any information would be great, I appreciate your time.

With respect,
LSlime[X(]

I know this may not hep you but I built a custom box with 3 downfireing 10 inch Infinity speakers. I basically trasformed the entire area behind the seat into an enclosure. There is a 4 inch air gap all the way across the bottom and the bass hits very hard and is very accurate!

This is the only way to get very accurate bass from an enclosure in a standard cab as far as I am concerned!!!

look for the JL stealth box. replaces the middle seat in a 40/20/40 bench.

but before you go ordering anything, check this place out. i got a dual set up for $126 shipped. i'm sure they have something that you can use.

the box has worked well for me so far.

I've got a brand new, still in shipping box 12" sealed enclosure that will fit behind a regular cab truck seat. $50 which includes shipping. Lemme know if you're interested.
