Passenger Window not Working
Again I am new to this forum. My automatic passenger window will no longer roll down. It will not work from either the passenger side of the driver side switch. It seemed to get worse and worse as time went on. Earlier if you just played with the switch on either side you could get it to roll down. Now it just will not go down at all. The motor always seemed fine and the fuse is good.
I hunted for people with similar problems but was unable to find this one out there. Anyone help me out on this?

Sounds like the power window regulator to me, especially if it progressively got worse. That's usually how they fail. I believe it comes attached to the motor as an assembly.
Aftermarket units are the best when it comes to something like that....and by best, I mean they don't cost you a small fortune.
www.rockauto.com would be a good place to pick one up.

Thanks for the information. I am sure you are right, but is there a test that I can do to make sure it is the regulator before I go out and buy this part? Thanks alot
Oh and on Rockauto.com it is asking me if I have a 5.9L 360cid V8 FI (5) or 5.9L 360cid V8 MFI(Z). I understand the 5.9 and 360 parts but what is FI and MFI and what is the signaficance of the characters in the parantenses?
All I can find on RockAuto is the Door Window Switch, but it would not be the switch on the left side of the vehicle would it since both switchs do not roll down the window or does the driver side switch engage the switch on the passenger side? Sorry for such green horn questions.

FI = Fuel Injection
MFI = Multi-port Fuel Injection
The letters in parenthesis are the characters from your VIN #. The (Z) vin is the normal character for the light duty 360. I believe the 5 is for the heavy duty 360, or possibly a different emission packaged 360.
The regulator is found in Body-Interior, Window Regulator. The passenger side is the RH Front: Regulator with motor.
As far as testing, I don't know of any that you could to to test for sure. Maybe try jumping the assembly directly to...similar to the way you'd jump an electric fan to see if it's functional. But if it won't work with either switch, and it's the only electrical item not working (in other words, no bad fuses), the motor or the regulator would be the only two suspects in my mind.
There is a factory service manual available for download here: https://dodgeforum.com/m_340929/tm.htm
It's for an '01 model, but it is interchangeable with many years. It probably has a troubleshooting section for this problem. I've never read through the whole manual though, so I can't say for sure if it does or not but it's worth a look.
