How many sledders out there
I used to ride quite a bit, but not so much anymore. There's nobody to ride with around here. Plus I popped a piston on my sled the first night it snowed last year, and haven't been able to justify putting $$$ into it to fix it...not yet anyway.
I have 6 sleds in my stable. They're pretty much all Vintage and in near mint condition.
1992 Yamaha Exciter 570 LE (Currently missing a piston [:'(])
1980 Arctic Cat Trail Cat 340
1979 Arctic Cat Jag 340
1976 Rupp Nitro 340 (1,500 ORIGINAL miles)
1974 Arctic Cat Cheetah 340 (Currently down for restoration)
1973 Arctic Cat Panther 400 (3000 ORIGINAL miles)
I also have a 440 Jag that I picked up years ago that needs a piston and a jug. I've had so much fun with the 340 though that I've never bothered putting the 440 back together.

I grew up on a RUPP440 Nitro and loved it....LOTS OF COMPRESSION...the track blew apart on me when I was about 16...
I bought a Artic cat 700 in 1999 and drove it for a couple of years, then bought 3 new 900 zr's sno pros in 2004 (left over from o3)
I love the sleds. Gave the 700 to sister last year so she could ride.
Its getting harder and harder to justify keeping them, but it sure is nice when the snow flies...I do most of my riding from ******* Michigan north into the U.P. and Canada....I don't ride much around here at all......

It's a good sled though. My dad bought it new and put about 1000 miles on it before all the bogey wheels shattered. Then he put it in storage for about 20 years until I claimed it and replaced all the wheels. Runs like new again. Only thing I don't like is the hexagon clutch. It likes to chew through belts if you let the sled idle too much [:'(]
Here's a pic from a few years ago. Haven't had it out lately.

Used to ride quite a bit back in high school on our 97' Indy 500. I loved that sled. Now i just ride my buddies "extra" sled (2001 Arctic Cat ZL 500). I would really like to get into a new Ski-Doo, but to pay 8 grand on something that you might not get to ride, especially with the winters being the way they have been, its hard to see the point in owning one now[
