Replacing Front Crank Seal

Replacing the front crank seal in my 1997 dodge 1500 with the 318. Was wondering what are some good tips to help me out, did a search and it helped alil but not enough. No fan shroud so that should make my life easier, any tips or pointers would help. thanks
