ABS BRAKES
I have a 2001 Ram 4WD. Last year I put on sloted rotors on the front.. In the last 2 months, I've been experiencing a problem with my ABS brakes.. When I am about 20 to 30 feet from a complete stop, and my speed is about less than 5 mph. My ABS brakes are
kicking in. I just put on new pads. less than 5 mile on them. The problem is still there..DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?

so .. do you have rear abs or 4 wheel abs? and when you mean your ABS is kicking in.. what does it feel like? and when you mean pads.. did you put new pads on the front or new shoes on the rear? and is this truck a 1500 or 2500??
My truck is a 1500 4wd. the front brakes are disk, the rear are drum. I replaced the front disk pads last week.less than 5 miles on them. When I am 20 to 30 feet from a stop I can feel the abs kicking in.. I can feel the pedal pumbing through my foot..
yea.. from what im galthering its not the abs you feel kicking in its the rotors that are trashed... does it feel like a thud thud thud? or a pulsing ? that could be your abs but i really think your rotors are warped.. happend on my dads explorer.. he though his abs was shot and it just ended up he had 100K on the original rotors with new pads
The feeling that I'm feeling is a pulsing sensation.. I will put the original rotors on and see. But the sloted ones I put on last year.
and I don't think that I have 10000 miles on my truck since I put them on.. 80% of my driving in the truck is on the highway..
