Default Fuel filter??

Is there an inline fuel filter f(outside of the tank) on an '01 1500 5.9L? I didn't think dodge put inline filters on the fullsize trucks, just on the end of the pump in the tank but didn't know.
Thanks in advance.

nope.. internal only.. and usually doesnt need to be changed unless you have a feeling that theres garbage in your tank.. the filter is a one unit deal along with the seding unit and the pump.. and a PITA to change b/c you gotta drop the fuel tank

Click on my second link in my sigline and look at the pictures of the pressure regulator from my truck. The pressure regulator acts as a secondary fillter and is easier to change out than dropping the tank and cleaning out the screen that's at the bottom of the fuel pump.
