Default RE: tranny cooler question

Silver_Dodge has some good points. I installed mine in the line going to the cooler. I've noticed that the temperature will go up quickly if I'm running up a hill without the torque converter being locked. After cresting the hill and coasting down the other side, it will start to drop off, not as quickly as it went up, but it will still drop. This tells me that the cooler is working. So my opinion is to go with a big cooler which you know will cool better than a small one and monitor the hot line. I think it would be neat to measure the temperature at two locations like Silver said, but if you chose one location, I prefer the hot line.

The line going into the bottom of the radiator is the hot line.

How do i know which line goes to the the bottom of the radiator when it's been bypassed as mentioned in the first post.
all went well until they unhooked the lines from the rad to drain it and they were crossthreaded. So they ended up rerouting it to only the Aux cooler.
