Both hypertech and superchips are $400. Is it worth the moola? anyone done it?.. thanks

 

anything to help a 3.9 is worth it. I've never messed with a 3.9 so I don't know. I would say yes based on the response by other engines.

 

I would look into the basics, like exhaust and a good cold air intake before I spent the money to buy a programmer, if you are looking at bang for buck.

 

i have the 3.9. no programmer. new flowmaster exhaust and a k&n drop in made a big difference.

$400 is alot.

 

Good point. I'd start with bolt ons first. Then get the programmer once you run out of bolt ons.

 

Also forgot to mention that you V6 guys have the option of swapping your V6 throttle body out for a V8 throttle body and gaining more power. If money wasn't that important I would go with a modifiied replacment from The Fastman.
