some other pics of the truck (flexy)

Thanks man. Also with just 6" of lift and 35's I would just leave the bar off completely. Dont even bother with disconnnects. Mine drove the same without it. And also if you have the shock inside the coil spring still I wouldnt mess with limiting straps either.

Don't I know all about that, and your truck kicks a** Robert, but I believe he's on the right track. Sway bar disco's ROCK! Prepare for limit straps!

Not bad but I think you need to find a bigger hill! Also when I used to have my '97 single cab with 3" susp and 3" body I left the front sway bar off and it flexxed a lot better. I could unseat the front coil springs.

Oh sorry of anyone feels the post was hijacked. I appologise.
My shocks are longer that the amount of drop before the springs unseat. straps are a nessesity for me!

So were mine. I ran a 5" lift shock with just 3" susp to get more drop out of it. THe coils would unseat and it would just hit the shock and the shock would hold it from falling completely out. This truck I have not has about 8" of lift up front on 5" skyjacker short arms so it doesnt flex up front. BUt I will be fixing that very soon with some bad *** custom long arms, and 10" full throttle coil springs.

lol well around here there arent really any big enough hills or ditches to be disconnecting the sway bar over.. the the idea of the coil spring coming unseated kinda scares me[&:] lol.. i'll find a bigger hilll tomorrow.. i'll get the back or front tire up off the ground

That may be fun for you, but I don't need the springs falling out in the middle of nowhere. Experience tells me theres an acute lack of willing volunteers required to hold the spring in place while moving the truck to get them reseated!

Thats just it when you have the shock inside the coil springs you dont have to worry about the coil falling. The coil will unseat and hit the shock and the shock keeps it from coming out. THen at the end of the weekend when you get through wheeling you can jack it up and put the coil back into place.
damn i dont know where you take your truck but if your coil spring has to unseat itself from flexing so much maybe that isnt a good place to be LOL

Actually on my truck, the spring would fall out, hit the shock, and get wedged between the spacer and the shock. at the least, it would tear the heck out of the rubber silencer. I understand your application, but I wouldn't debate it unless i've actually done this. And in fact I have, and more than once.
If you'll check out my pics in my galley, you'll see. I added a pic to my previous post so you can see how much drop I have and the straps were all the way out. The spring came up just short of dropping out, but did come loose. When the truck pulled forward, the spring went in slightly cocked and tore the silencer band. I've since jacked up the truck, rearranged the band, and taken an inch out of the limit straps. I believe thats the correct way of addressing the issue. I respect your right to disagree tho.
