Default 1997 Dodge 1500 no spark

I am working on a 1997 Dodge Ram 2 wheel drive with the 5.2 engine. The owner parked it in his shop last fall did not drive it for several months but did start it a few times. When he went to start it the other day, it had no spark. He tried putting gas in the throttle body..nothing no spark. I have it in my shop now. It has no spark. It has no power to the fuel pump, no power to the coil. I have checked all fuses and wires all seem to be intact. I have checked the ASD relay and fuel relay both seem to be good. Any suggestions on where to go next????

Is the battery charged? You checked the relays, but double check the fuses as well as the master control box under the hood. Make sure all of the fuses and relays are seated and not corroded. I would check the connction to the coil (not the coil wire, but the connector from the harness). Could be rodents got in there and chewed some wires.

Battery is fully charged. Master control box and all fuses look good and clean. all connections look good. that was my first thought waas he is a farmer and a mice prob. got in it, but i can not find any evidence of that. What about the crank sensor? Some one suggested that?

Could be the crank sensor. That's a good place to start. Dumping gas down the throttle body is not a good idea. Too many old school guys don't understand that a throttle body controls airflow.

Do you think the crank sensor has anything to do with the fact of no power at the fuel pump?

Not a chance. I'd get out the multi meter and see if theres a break in the fuel pump wires. By "no power" do you mean they don't work, or have you actually checked the wires with a DMM to see if they're getting power. Have you swaped relays with some that you KNOW are good? Just start poking around with the DMM. Are you sure theres no power to the coil or is the coil just not sparking? Do all the other electronics seem to work?

Have you droped the tank to inspect the wires to go into the unit?
