dont tell me to read the post i did. any time you have work done ALWAYS go straight back with any problems. it doesnt matter if you have gone back one two or a hundred times already. If it was something that would be big enough to go to court over, the minute you said you did work on it they'd tell you your screwed right there. It doesnt matter if he fixed it once already, if its warrantied and he lied or didnt lie he still has to fix it.

im not gunna jump the gun and blame this one on mark. but its one more thing that makes me believe hes got something funny going on. while he had my tranny out i asked him to do the rear main seal because it had a little leak. so he agreed and he got paid for the part and the labor to install it. well its been appox. 2 months since then and i still have a leak.
Here's something else, you don't ever want to tell a mechanic what is wrong with your car. Diagnosing the problem is his job. You should have said that it had an oil leak near the back of the engine or atleast said check the rear main seal and let me know what you find. If you told him to put a new starter on when you car really needed a battery, he's probably going to do it. I hate customers that tell you what is wrong, so you fix it their way and then they are pissed at you because THEY WERE WRONG! If I had a dollar for everytime that scenario has been played out. I'll tell you what though Ztenec has given you the best advice so far, take it somewhere else and bill "Mark" for it.

i do agree with ztenec on billing mark. as for the rear main seal goes. mark said it was bad. and he claims he replaced it. im going up to have a visit with mark on wednesday. im bringing pictures (im not having it towed to a bunch of different places ill show mark pictures and see what he hasta say and go from there) and im gunna explain everything to him. exactly how it went. and i will tell him i replaced the wheel bearing. im not a mechanic but i can do a few simple things that dont take extensive knowlege. im going to tell him i want to bring it somewhere else to get fixed and give mark the bill and have him reemburse me. or if he isnt willing to do anything then it looks like im making some repairs myself.

thanks for all the help guys. i really appreciate it. sorry about the arguing. no hard feelings. its all in good nature. and ill update everyone when wendesday comes after i talk to mark

good news fellas. mark was a very understanding guy that what he did wasnt right and we both agreed that yes i shouldnt have touched it but after spending around $5000 he understands that i didnt wanna spend any more. so he agreed to fix the axle and the wheel bearing. anything more would come out of my pocket. i didnt rip it apart but i dont think and im hoping theres nothing else major that i will have to pay for. he also agreed to look at the leak in the back of the motor. i took silverrams advice and i said there was a leak in the back of the motor again. he said if it was the rear main then he would replace it under warranty and if it wasnt he would let me know what it is and if i wanna do it or not.

so in the end i dont have much bad to say about mark anymore and i shouldnt have put him down the way i did before i talked to him. i was just pi$$ed off and we all know what happens when we get like that. we say things we shouldnt and we make sruff worse than it needs to be. thanks for everyones help. and if someone can give me an idea on how to put pictures on here ill post some up and show everyone. wait im an idiot. theres a click to uplaod button...i think ill try that!!
