engine died, 30 amp under hood blown
I have a 1995 with a 5.2 gas, auto, 4x4.
the engine died while driving it. I tried to restart it and it wouldn't fire. i checked under the hood and i couldn't find anything wrong. When i looked at the fuses under the hood in the power distribution block, the one next to the battery, the 30 amp fuse was blown. I replaced it and it blew again. the fuse is for engine control. or at least i think that is what it said.
when i have a good fuse in there and the key to the on position it is ok. when i try to start it the fuse blows.
where should i start to look for the short?
does that fuse go into the cab or under the hood?
i looked at the 2001 fsm, but that is set up different.
let me know
thanks
