rough idle/stall on 95 5.2
95 with 5.2 a/t. daughters truck started rough idle last week. checked plugs, wires, coil wire spark, plug wire spark, cleaned t/b and iac. new fuel pump last year, battery @ 14.+ volts. when checking truck the truck started ok but upon warmup(5 minutes) the idle became very rough, upon moving throttle engine became bogged down and rpm dropped to 3-400 rpm) smells very rich or flooded. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Check to see if the air filter is really clogged, I doubt that is it but its a good place to start. I would also take the O2 sensors out and clean them up with some electrical cleaner, CRC makes the good stuff I think it is called QD Electric Cleaner. You might also check to see that the cat isn't clogged up.
On a 1995 the EGR system should also be checked when a rough idle is present.
If any part of the EGR system fails,
it goes into 'EPA fail safe mode'
where exhaust gas is routed into the intake manifold all the time,
which makes for a rough idle and stalling.

Welcome to df...start with the simple stuff 1st...
1) yank the throttle body and clean it real good, pull the IAC valve and make sure its clean as well as the passages around it. there is a small one that can clog and cause a rough idle.
2) yank out the o2 sensor and clean it with a cleaner as SilverRam suggested, use CRC electronic components cleaner, it leaves no residue. when you clean it spray it liberally inside the sensor thru the slots/holes on the end. they will get clogged up over time. periodic cleaning will help them to last a long time.
3) inspect the egr system and make sure it's working properly, IIRC, there should be a vacuum diaphram that is used to control the egr valve, not 100% sure as it's been several years since I last had an egr setup (jeep grand cherokee with 5.2). the valve should move freely.
4) while you have the TB off, have a look down the intake to see if there is any oil pooling on the bottom, a light film is normal, pooling is not. if it is, you have a leaky plenum gasket which needs to be fixed.
hope this helps, let us know what you find.
